Whimsical watercolor flowers

This is an ongoing series of floral watercolor paintings. It was initially inspired by my grandmother’s collection of vintage vases with dried flowers in them. All vases are from different times and made of various materials, like crystal, copper, ceramics, stainless steel with mosaic inlay, or porcelain. Over time, dried roses, chrysanthemums, and hydrangeas have changed their colors and shapes and morphed into something very different from fresh flowers. They became symbols of flowers. So I have replaced them with the whimsical stylized flowers.
